Lime and Paris, a “common” story | Paris and Lime, moving forward, together

Lime is very happy to have been selected by the City of Paris to continue to provide a reliable and sustainable offer to users. At the end of a call for tenders which enabled Lime to present its vision and its commitments for the future, Lime is consolidated in its position as market leader and responsible player.

Two years after arriving in the capital, with more than 2 million unique users and 22 million journeys in two years, Lime is now entering a new cycle in its history. By choosing the City of Paris, Lime’s operational excellence is recognized and confirmed today. Beyond the symbol, Paris is more than ever a European example in terms of soft mobility. This pledge of confidence today allows Lime to continue to serve the City’s ambitious objectives in terms of sustainable development: reduction of self-reliance, reduction of congestion and improvement of air quality. With electric scooters, and now JUMP bikes, Lime offers a sustainable, multimodal service, easy to use and adapted to everyone’s needs.

“We would like to thank the elected officials and the teams of the City of Paris who, by selecting Lime, show their confidence in us. This choice commits us to continue to improve our services and, beyond that, to continue to act resolutely for a city more respectful of the environment ”, underlines Garance Lefèvre, Director of Public Affairs at Lime France .

This new cycle allows Lime to once again assert its position as a leader in the industry and a responsible partner for the city. A pioneer in sustainable development in soft mobility, Lime loads all warehouses with local French renewable energy, recycles 97% of materials and operates a fleet certified CarbonNeutral® according to the Carbon Neutral protocol . Lime is also committed to maintaining and intensifying its actions in terms of safety and parking awareness among users for a better sharing of public space.

“With all the Lime teams in France, we are very happy for users, whether they are Parisians, Ile-de-France residents, tourists or simply passing through the capital. For us, it is the choice of stability, continuity, experience and it devotes our permanent efforts to improve the ecological transition of transport and the sharing of public space in the capital ”, rejoices Antoine BLUY, Responsible for Lime’s operations in France .

Permanent dialogue with residents, elected officials and civil society will be maintained and strengthened to deploy the fleet in the right places and at the right time in order to harmoniously integrate scooters and bicycles into the Parisian public space.
